As a consumer today, you’re savvier than ever. JOLT knows that.

So, we made it easier than ever to buy solar online. Here’s what you get with the Jolt difference:

INFORMATION
As much or little as you need to make your decision.

PRICING
Transparent details about how we generate every quote.

FREEDOM
Freedom from annoying cold calls – we will call when you tell us to. Freedom from pressure – we’ll give you a great price, it’s your decision to take us up on it.

SAVINGS
Traditional solar companies have big chunks of sales & operational costs that stack up on your bottom line to start a solar project. Sales manager commissions, cold-calling teams, robot dialers, extra insurance and overhead …. see how that adds up? We developed a streamlined high-tech process, reducing costs that pass savings straight to you.

PARTNERS
Nobody but the best. We believe in partnering with installers doing an amazing job the first time. It’s always cheaper than coming back to fix an average or poor install. Plus, the Jolt Homeowner app keeps you up-to-date every step of the way.

A WARM & FUZZY FEELING
Saving money always feels good, saving the planet feels even better, and providing clean drinking water for people in remote schools and villages feels downright amazing. Jolt donates to GivePower with every system we sell.

REALLY BIG FAQ

Here are a few that we get asked the most:

  • Get a quote right here on Jolt.Solar and soon you’ll be able to experience the Jolt difference through our iOS and Android app. We currently offer project management and procurement in Arizona, Florida, Illinois, Nevada, Texas and Utah. We’ll be rolling out additional states in the coming year.

  • After you switch to solar, you won’t notice a difference. Your lights, appliances, televisions and everything else that uses electricity will work exactly as they did before. The one key difference you will notice after switching to solar is in how you pay for your power. You will have two separate bills – a monthly statement from your utility company, and a monthly Solar payment – but they’ll balance out in your favor.  How much energy you end up having to buy from your utility depends on the size of your solar system and how much electricity you’re actually using. Because of weather and seasonal changes, your utility bill will vary from month to month. But you will always know how much energy your solar system produced and exactly what your fixed solar payment is for the duration of our agreement.

  • You have two options:
In the vast majority of cases, homeowners choose to pay off the remaining balance of the solar loan through the sale of the home.
However, if the new homeowner wishes to assume the loan, he/she must apply to qualify for the loan. If the new homeowner is approved, then he/she assumes full responsibility for the loan, and if not approved, then the remaining balance needs to be paid off.

  • There are a lot of things out of our control, such as raining golf balls, softball-sized hail, rodents or pests trying to use solar as a snack, and other things that could damage the system, but typically anything like that is covered under a typical homeowner’s insurance policy. There isn’t much, but read the fine print that we put in a really big font.

  • Solar requires being connected to a power source in order to begin power production, which is usually either the grid or a backup power source. If the solar system is connected to a storage device, solar energy will be able to continue charging the storage device. If a storage device is not connected then power to the home will be out. You might think, “why is that? I’ve got a power plant on my roof!” and you’re not wrong – power can’t be flowing back to the grid while it’s down, for safety reasons. After power is restored to the home then your solar will kick back on like every other appliance.

  • According to a new Zillow analysis of homes across the country and on average, solar panels raise a home’s value by 4.1% across the U.S. The Appraisal Institute found that, for every $1 in annual electricity bill savings provided by solar and other energy-efficiency projects, home resale values go up an average of $20.

  • Sure! Show it off to your neighbors and get them to sign up using your Member ID#. For every homeowner that signs up and gets their system installed, we’ll pay your next month’s solar payment! Depending on the utility in your area, they may or may not offer a “cash-out” option for excess power, so spreading the good word about Jolt is always your best bet.
